Don't bother looking elsewhere, these guys have all the sunglasses and glasses frames you can possibly imagine. And most products are affordable, even high fashion label items (Jimmy Choo, Tom ford, Dior...). My order shipped quite fast, and anyway, they're the only shop online that had the Porsche sunglasses I wanted.
After a big disappointment in my usual optical store (another online company), I decided to change and try smartbuyglasses. They really have an amazing selection of products! Their site design is kind of cheap, but their services are 5 stars! LArge choice, low prices, nice discounts... And fast delivery! I received my prescription sunglasses in 10 days, which is not much since it includes the time to manufacture lenses. I'll definitely buy again!
It has been over a month and I still haven't received my sun glasses nor has anyone responded to any of my emails. Very unhelpful website, my order number has just said the stock has been confirmed and has for the last month!
As it seems now, I have paid $250 for nothing, can't be certain anything is being shipped to me because no one from smart buy has responded or updated my account.
Seriously the best discovery I made this year:

- They have all the brands I love! Prada & D&G ans also all the classics, like raybans. It was soooo hard to make a choice because of the huge collection :)
If you haven't shopped at Smartbuyglasses, you're missing out. Oh, and the lens cleaning kit that came with my pair of sunglasses just adds a cherry on the top
I ordered twice on Smartbuyglasses, once for prescription sunglasses and once for eyeglasses (and lenses). Both orders came within 10 days, which i pretty good considering they have to manufacture the lenses and ship from Hong Kong. Result was amazing both times, and it helped me save over $300 in total!
I ordered a Tag Heuer lenses three weeks ago and I today I received an express delivery document with an empty box inside! I called Fedex to figure out if the package was inspected in Custom and they said me no. It clear in my point of view that the package was shipped without the lenses. I am waiting their confirmation to get the reason why they shipped an empty box.
In the meanwhile, I opened I case with my bank to get the money back.
I really hope that smartbuyglasses will honor this sale.
I would NOT recommend this company to anyone. Although friendly emails are sent with assurances of delivery times and availability, they do not communicate accurate information. This goes on and on. When finally trying to get a refund, it was very difficult and had to be done with a dispute registered with the credit card company.
Be very careful in your dealings if you choose them, but I would not choose them ever nor recommend them to anyone.
Very user friendly site with zillions of glass models to choose from. Easy ordering process and swift shipping.
However I would have liked to see the full width of the glasses instead of trying to figure out by adding bridge plus lenses width.
they respond to reviews over here with pure lies. and the sad part is that we cannot reply to their feedback showing the world how deficient this company is. They fulfill half their orders im sure, but they are so terribly structured that they take half their clients for a ride. They ignored me for a month keeping my money, then after i posted a review here they replied to my review lying about how they are waiting for me communicate with them, then i sent them a few more emails telling them i just want my money back and want them to disappear and will never come back and bother them for any other order and now once again they have stopped responding and dont want to refund my money, they keep replying once a while saying how it would be a shame to cancel the order and keep sending me alternative suggestions for sunglases i should buy, whereas all i want is my money back cuz they are a terrible terrible manipulative company. They arent bad for buying sunglasses one shot, provided you are willing to deal with the fact that they have no idea ever of what is in stock but have always 10 excuses ready. If you want prescription anything, be very scared, they cannot deliver proper products whatsoever in that regard and you should purchase locally even if you have to pay a little more i am at a point where i have to file a complaint with my bank and visa cuz that is the only way ill get my money back, or maybe when they see i am publicly declaring all that they will realize its better to steal off someone else and give me my money back as as investment to continue their malpractice. There will be a response to this, and please believe me it will all be manipulation to protect their image, afterall whoever they employ to respond to these is not paid to accept and declare the company's bad practices but to justify them and come up with excuses Save your money, go on ebay or clearlycontacts. They may not lie as much as smartbuyglasses to project a false image but they are a real company from canada based in canada, these guys ship their products from hong kong they oursource all their dealings to robots....
I was impressed by how fast the delivery was. I received my sunglasses only 3 days after I placed the order: good job guys!
I was initially sceptical about buying there considering the bad reviews I read here, but it definitely worked for me. I'll purchase my girlfriend's next pair of specs there as well :)
I am disappointed to say that I am very displeased with the service on my order. The first pair of frames was not available, but I was only informed after numerous emails to the company as to the whereabouts of my order. I choose another pair of frames, that was over 3 weeks ago and I'm still getting the same replies, "We are sorry, we will do our best to expedited your order, blah blah blah." I am in the process of asking for a refund. The replies take over 2 business days or more to finally arrive and they are always the same script. No answers at all, ever, and after all of this, I only got offere a 5% discount, i have been waiting for over a month!!! Shop elsewhere!! Very dissatisfied. With all the negative review I was a bit worry. But the eye glasses I ordered were a replacement for the glasses I had which I couldn't find anywhere else. My order came in 10 business day. Very happy

I ordered a fast delivery item from SmartBuyGlasses which is supposed to mean they have it in stock. They didn't. But don't worry, they secured my item with their distributor. They didn't. Oh, but now they've confirmed my item with their supplier, they'll receive it on May 20, a day or two for the lenses and then ship it out in a few more days. Guess what? SmartBuyGlasses never secured the glasses with their supplier because they STILL DO NOT HAVE THEM. At one point through this whole process I actually had to point out to SmartBuyGlasses that they STILL had the glasses I ordered listed on their website as being available for "fast delivery". I placed an order for a Gucci a week ago. I received a confirmation email immediately saying that my order had been received. Days later when I went to track my order, which I would have expected to have been processing by then, it simply stated 'wait to be verified'. I scrolled over this, where it said that more information was required in order for my order to be processed and that I would receive an email about this shortly. 2 days passed and I did not receive this 'email'. Becoming frustrated I emailed the customer service team and asked what was going on and what needed to be done. Another 2 days went past until I received an reply to that email. The email seemed to be a generic response, no personality and no response to the questions I had asked about what was happening with my order.
Instead, I was told "Based on your email, I have gathered that this request is not acceptable, and you are requesting the cancelation of your order. I have initiated the cancelation which will be processed within 24 hours. Please note that it will take around 3-5 business days for the full refund to reach your account statement."
At this point, I gave up, emailed back saying yes please cancel and refund my order. I waited some more days, checking my account each day to see if I had been refunded yet. As of this morning, it has been 5 business days. Still no refund. But, to make things worse, I received the 'wait to be verified' email from them this morning!!! They asked for more information such as a utility bill or some form of ID which would prove my residency. This rang alarm bells!! As I myself run an online contact lens company I know that there is absolutely no reason for any customer to provide this information over the Internet. If the money is taken from your credit card there would be no further issue and you should receive the goods you paid for with no problems involved.
I will wait for a reply from smarbuyglasses and I hope this gets sorted out ASAP. If my online company did business and treated customers the way smarbuyglasses do we would have no customers. I am very very unimpressed with the way this has been handled and will be making sure that my customers and ever one I know never buy from smarbuyglasses.
I placed my sunglass order on Monday at noon. The order shipped that night! I received my sunglasses this morning (Wednesday).... I'm shocked. I've never ordered something (especially overseas) that has arrived that quick. And the sunglasses were $65 less than Sunglass Hut. 2 days to save that kind of money, I'm recommending this site to everyone! Even if it took a week it's still well worth it. I'll definitely order from this site again!
Ordered prescription glasses 1 month ago, there is no phone number available to contact, and all email "responses" are stock copy and pasted comments with no information (different fonts, different colours text).
I have not received anything that would make me feel comfortable with continuing with my order. I will be cancelling it immediately and contacting the fraud department at my credit card as obviously this company has no intention of providing me with any actual information on my order or even fulfilling its business obligations to me.
Oh how I wish that I'd seen the other reviews regarding prescription orders that are so similar BEFORE I'd purchased.
UPDATE MAY 31st/2013 - Since posting this review; I was notified today that my glasses were shipped via FedEx. I am not sure if posting this complaint moved the process along or not, but I'll update again when I actually receive them.
The sunglasses were exactly as expected, but they came in a tan case. I would have preferred a black case. I did not receive a lens cleaning kit as promised. The glasses were over $140, which was fine, but I did not expect a $27 COD duty charge. Not happy.
Ordered a pair of Persols with prescription lenses. Came in at about 1/2 the retail in Toronto. Good service - had error in entering PD - system caught it and helped me to get the right # in it.
When I got glasses (surprisingly fast delivery from Hong Kong), thought they might be fakes as price seemed too good. Went to another Persol retailer in the city to find they were authentic!
Very happy - will buy another pair from you in the future!
Buying sunglasses online is difficult because normally you try them on, but smartbuyglasses gives you all the information necessary to make the proper choices relating to style and sizing.
Pricing is incredibly competitive considering they had the best price for Ray Bans( which is what I bought)

I ordrered a pair of RayBan Thursday afternoon with shipping to Canada and got them the next Monday afternoon! I can also certify they are genuine RB's as the most pickiest characteristics were verified. I can't tell about the service though since everything went straight forward so I didn't have any contact wth them. Despite some people say, my comment is a real one and can be trusted.
Going on to another week with no response from anyone just a few messages on facebook saying that they are trying to respond. Getting closer to 5 months now with no glasses or answers. The customer service team is extremely quick to respond to bad reviews but NEVER responds to their actual customers.
way too long of a wait for glasses that I could have bought from retail or another competitor that I have purchased from before and never had this issue EVER.

Went with this company for 4 reasons:
1. recommendation from 2 family members who bought from them in the winter before peak season
2. visually appealing website/mobile layout
3. very cool 3D try-on software (a hit with the friends during dinner parties)
4. their Buy One Give One to the underprivileged program
It seems that for certain styles of glasses and at certain times of the year they take a long time to get you your glasses.
Those customer service agents probably come into work with like 500 emails they have to sort through and which roll over to the next day when 500 more come in.
I've been there before when I worked in a contact centre. I know they are heavily understaffed. It's so obvious.
Please get more customer service reps for your English speaking markets!!!!
My experience was that it took them 3 weeks to get me 2 pairs of sunglasses. They didn't have one in stock, so I had to wait 2 weeks, then paid for fast shipping.
I would have liked for it to have been faster the regular way, and to get more contact with your customer service people.
I'm satisfied with the glasses and the price though, so when I sit on these glasses I'll buy another pair because I know that a pair of glasses is going to someone in the developing world because of your Buy One Give One program.

I have ordered from this site twice before. Yes, sometimes the orders can take a while to get to you as the supplier of your desired product may delay in delivery. However, the customer service staff is very helpful in letting you know. Best recommendation is don't wait till the last minute to pick a pair up.
Seriously speaking ,with prices this good, the wait is well worth it. However in my second experience glasses arrived within a week.

Andd the status of order trackin keeps switching from ( approved and in process ) to ( discontinued ) wht the helll iiss thatt ! I ordered 2 pair of sunglasses. but they sent it to me just one pair. I missed one more pair, so i try to contact customer service to get my money back for the one that they missed. no one contact me only auto-response email. I can not get my money back now and i dont know how can i contact them. i paid almost $300 for 2 pair but got only one. I just want my money back!!
I have been trying to buy a pair of glasses from this company for over a month and have continually been screwed around.
I found smartbuyglasses online and was initially excited by their huge variety of frames, lenes and decent costs. However, the first pair I ordered turned out not to be in stock. The service agent pointed me towards a few other pairs (which had "confirmed stock" by the agent). I proceeded to order one pair after another and each time, two or three days later I would get an email saying "sorry, those are not in stock". Finally they simply chose a similar glass to the ones I wanted and ORDERED IT FOR ME! They just sent me an email confirmation saying that I had been charged for glasses I didn't want and that they were on the way! I tried to contact them by phone but THEY DON'T HAVE A PHONE NUMBER. I tried to contact anyone in management (servicemanager@smartbuyglasses), but got no response. I am still in the process of trying to cancel my order and get my money back. I would not recommend smartbuyglasses to a friend or enemy.
I ordered glasses on april 18th. Currently I am still waiting for the glasses. Their website has my order as "stock confirmed". I was told that they would recieve these frames on the 29th. It is now the 2nd and the status has not changed. After doing some research online it sounds like this happens to a lot of people. I am very nervous that the whole operation is a scam. I was a little scared right from the start because I could not get their website to accept my credit card. I was forced to use paypal. I have since learned that this company can take months to send out your glasses. Paypal will only let you dispute a claim up to 45 days after purchase. (This sounds like they are forcing people to pay with paypal and guess what it will take longer than 45 days, after that you are out of luck no glasses no refund is totally possible.) I have decided to give them 44 days before I contact paypal. The clock is ticking. Smartbuyglasses be warned I will not be played. Anyone reading this be warned spend a little bit more and buy from someone else if you don't like retailers playing games with you.
Also I just noticed that someone mentioned you do not list contact info on your invoices. I now have learned that I won't be able to claim these glasses on my insurance. I will be cancelling my order tomorrow.
Amazed at the speed of shipping. It came in 3 days all the way from Hong Kong!!! I'd suggest if your in a hurry for glasses on this web site to make sure you buy glasses marked with "Fast Shipping" beside them.
