plenty of other friends of mine have shared the experince as well again as same i wish i could give no stars or ild like to shove the one i put up were the sun dont shine xx
I asked the young girl for my food payed when she passed my food over the eggs looked horrible so asked for runny eggs when got my food back she gave me a piece of toast with great hole in it so gave it to another lady was waiting 35mins to get one piece of toast and all the say is out toaster has broke yeah right won,t be going back there in hurry .
I use ASDA online shopping every week and never have any problems. The website is well designed and there is also a nicely designed iPhone app which for me is a lot more convenient than driving somewhere, parking, and navigating around a busy supermarket. I have better ways to spend my weekends!
I have actually found myself saving money buying online as well as there are less impulse buys! The prices are amongst the best, delivery is quick, the drivers friendly and the groceries are always the highest quality.
My only problem I have is sometimes food can have low dates, but I tend to use common sense and never have to waste anything.
I am absolutely disgusted at the customer service i received at Asda. I had bought 2 milkshakes of the same brand, same size, different flavors, however one was priced 49p and the other £1.49. The difference in price was ridiculous so i returned the items 24 hours later after checking the receipt and i was told i would not get any refund. According to them you only have 20 mins to get a refund on any chilled or frozen product. So what if you find some tub of butter has an insect in it? What happens if a packet of burgers only contain 3 and not 6 burgers? UTTER BULL. They then kept my receipt and threw it away, although i got no refund or exchange. I was obviouslly ripped off due to an error in the pricing labels at the store, but yet i got no refund or no apology. Their behavior was shocking and there was 3 of them all talking together, i had to wait almost 30 secs for them to stop their conversation for them to serve me. Yes ASDA might be the cheapest supermarket, but their staff (not all) but most do not follow the customer service skills they were learnt to use in their interviews.
i will never never shop online at ASDA i ordered some items and they sent me every item wrong !
when i rang the call centre in INDIA OR WHERE EVER they couldn't understand english when said they would collect the items the next day but no one picked them up so i had to drive halfway across the city to a asda which done refunds IN LEICESTER OADBY where the manger was so rude and unhelpful i am so disappointed i asda and will never shop online with asda
Life can be so very hectic! And being able to do your weekly food shop online and at a time that suits you, can be a gift that's heaven sent. You can choose a delivery slot that also fits in with your own busy timetable, what could be easier? Great prices, great variety of groceries, clothing and home style products too! So not only can you watch your pennies, but Asda will do your shopping, pack it up and deliver it to your door for you. Asda makes my life a little easier! ;0)
I applaud there fight to provide value for money - it has been a life saver for me at difficult times. However, I do think their ethics can take a back seat sometimes to provide that monetary value. Unless you stop providing unethical produce, people will continue to buy it - sometimes you have to take the responsibility.
One gripe is that the food isn't always as good as it could be, but then the prices are cheap (very cheap!).
When you're in ASDA you don't realise just how cheap it is. I've been shopping their for about 10 months now (since they took over the local Netto) so I haven't had to go anywhere else. The other day I went to Tesco - Ouch! Inflation has certain been in full force there.
I can only imagine that my ASDA is a little oasis of calm in a world where prices everywhere else seem to tick up daily. Also (for the most part) the staff are great! Always bending over backwards to be kind and helpful. ASDA is more than just cheap prices (but the prices are very welcome!)
ASDA is good for bargain as well as quality products but something about the store lay out is not right. Most ASDA stores look dark and dirty and cluttered. I wonder if they can brighten up their shops little bit and tidy the shelves.
Don't buy from Asda online, once they have your bank details they can do what they want. I bought from Asda online twice and both times they ransacked my bank account, processing one unauthorised transaction and over-charging me on another occasion; they told me they would refund the over-charge and nearly two years later I still haven't received it, my bank had to release the funds Asda took in an unauthorised transaction. I have emailed Asda - and Asda's Managing Director - regard them not having refunded the over-charge and they just ignore the emails. There customer service lines for the online store are just as appalling. I still shop at Asda in-store - but I would never ever ever shop with them online again. Don't give them access to your bank account. There have been many times when I have been tempted to shop with Asda online, especially when they have special offers on my favourite champagnes - but I can't afford to have them ransack my account or go through the ordeal of dealing with their customers’ services. I shop online because I am disabled and can't shop any other way, I really don't need the stress of dealing with a company that repeatedly pilfered my funds. I now shop with another online supermarket and they are really good. I have never experienced anything like I have with Asda and I warn all of my friends of my experiences. If it was just a one-off and resolved I could forgive Asda - but it wasn't so I must assume that that is their standard of customer care and interaction. Asda in-store - great. Asda online - don't do it!
Update: Despite my own advice of never buying from Asda online, I did in fact shop with them again at it is total disaster. I am currently on the phone with Asda staff as the status of my delivery says: Delivered. It hasn't been delivered I have the Enfield store manager, who is trying to track down my delivery driver - who won't answer the phone - I have been waiting for 45 minutes. They have just spoken to the driver on his personal line and says he will be delivering to me next - they say that I won't be charged for delivery and will get a £5.00 evoucher - like I'll be shopping with them again! It is 21:32 the driver 32 minutes late (7pm to 9pm slot) at the moment. I will update you.
It is now 22:00 and I still don't have my delivery. They have deducted the money from my account, the delivery status is still 'order delivered' and yet I am still waiting. Nightmare! 22:11 still waiting. 22:23:The last update - almost an hour ago - stated the driver was at Dalston E8 and would be with me soon; even on crutches I could walk from Dalston to my home - so where is this driver? Driver just delivered: 22:33, despite the fact that I clearly have a broken wrist and am disabled and walk with a stick I had to unload my shopping from the crates myself. The driver apologised but said it wasn't his fault, substitions were not made clear: I ordered pre-prepared roasting vegetables they sent me roasting potatoes as a substitute - but didn't tell me. A six case of champagne was substituted and the driver insisted it was better value - it wasn't! He even asked me for a bottle - and ask:"Why?" when I said no. Never again! I only shopped with them online because I broke my wrist, combined with my physical disability it mean't shopping in-store was not an option. Clearly in the two years since I last shopped with them they haven't got any better - the customer service staff from Leyton Mills were very helpful, but this was an ordeal. I just hope they haven't pilfered my bank account again. If the have I'll update you.
I find the shop clean and tidy. Checkout staff all very helpful. Shelf filling staff in the evening seem helpful and approachable but on a Saturday morning there seems to be alot of chatting about social activities. (possibley because it is busy and they think no one will notice)
i use most of Asda's websites, I love the fact I can shop for my weekly groceries in the comfort of my own home, and they are delivered to my house at a time and date I've chosen. Drivers are always polite, and inform me if anything I've ordered is unavailable. Can't fault this service, to be honest, I'd be lost without it.
Be very very very careful!
They start you off on a low APR rate then as you use your card and build a balance but well within your credit limit BEWARE watch your interest rate go up!
You make any changes to your DD mandate they IGNORE it so they can collect yet more late interest generated payments. Allow 12 weeks for any DD mandate to take effect.
Any complaint is paid lip service by very HELPFUL but non-able staff in a way off far off land...the Leeds team only take interest as a last result and are very condescending when brought to life to take any interest in your plight!
There are far better service CREDIT providers and the deal of a free grocery delivery when spending £100 does in no way make up for the grief in dealing with the card provider. Asda take note!
I use Asda all the time as its the most local to me. The range of products is good and well priced. I also like the website.
However, the customer service in the store leaves a lot to be desired.
Only this week I was made to feel like a criminal (twice) as I wanted to use vouchers to pay for the shopping. They FINALLY accepted them and as I was leaving the store, the alarm sounded and was stopped my a burly security guard asking me to show my receipt. They had forgotten to remove a security tag..very very embarrassing.
Get it all here now - school uniforms shops are much higher quality and last better, keep their shape etc., But once an indelible pen has been used - what difference does it make?? Rather throw something for £2.50 than £12.99 - its a no brainer for me. Socks are an absolute must from here.....shoes for adults are just dire!! Does anyone really buy them?
It has everything you need from ASDA, all your shopping needs for your everyday need. though I have to admit I find the site a little time consuming, and to be honest I do prefer to shop in-store, theres a little less choice in-store but your in and out in a time scale you want and you can pick the fresher packs.
I had to order items online for my young children to be delivered to my house as time was extremely short. I was relying on the order. However, the order did not arrive at the appropriate time. I phoned the branch in Glasgow, to find that they had not even processed the order, despite it being on their system. They did not seem at all concerned.
I have now switched my online shopping to Tesco.
Recently, I ordered £102 worth of groceries online as I am disabled and am unable to get to the shops. I used Asda as I like their produce. On this occasion, Asda debited my card with £102 during the early hours of the morning, BEFORE picking the order. They delivered £78 worth of groceries, approx 75%. When I phoned to complain, they told me that they would return the surplus funds within 8 to 10 days. I did not find this acceptable as no other supermarket that I use debits the card before the final order value is known. Unfortunately, 0 stars is not allowed

Ive had really bad experiences whilst ordering groceries online with Asda.
Delivery Late (no warning/notice)
Customer Service appauling (dont know what they are talking about)
Substitution a joke (eg Butternut Squash substituted with Peanut Butter)
Have to assist drive to get your items from the van
Items frequently missing but charged
I refuse to shop online with them now!
