I want to warn you to avoid BT and any promises they make. I intended to leave BT for another subscriber. I told BT who transferred me to a manager who offered me a special package price to stay with BT. I gave them my bank details and found that they had taken the full price not the special price.W hile they were supposed to take the payments quarterly BT then started to take payments each month and wrongly took far more than they were supposed to and the broadband was slower than I can now achieve with another company. When BT caused a dispute through their shoddy unprofessional actions, they cut off my service and sent in the debt collectors even thoygh BT owed me monies. I spoke to several other people and found that they too had experienced the same from BT and like me would never go back to them.
I complained to the ombudsman who found BT guilty of several of my complaints, including thta BT had made false promises on their special package to me to keep my custom which they did not honour and that BT had taken more monies than they were supposed to and ordered BT to compensate me. However it took over a year of my life to sort it out and cost me far more in correspondence than I recovered. BT appear to be under bad and unprofessional management. They donnot deserve even one star but I have to give one or the review wikll not be posted.
