Poor, not using again

Sent my phone special delivery and didnt hear anything to say they received it. After constantly phoning up because there was no reply to emails. I had to tell the person on the phone to lower the music in the background because i couldnt hear them speak.. When i finally got an offer, i accepted immediatly but again heard nothing for a further week. Im still waiting for my money to be paid into my account

brilliant service

found it on google on a price comparison site and it came up as giving the best price. it was really easy to do and yet i still managed to mess it up lol. posted the phone in a normal envelope and forgot to put my name address or order number on it. i know i know im stupid. anyway got their enevlope through so just wrote a quick note describing what id done. they called me and sorted everything out and even though i was daft it was no extra hassle at all and my order was processed and payment sorted. so happy. thanks cash my phone.

Found cashmyphone on a recycling comparison site. it came out on top paying. Then I made order and sent the phone. Got payment in to my account in no time

Great both times

This is the second time I have used this company and the service was great both the times.

ABSOLUTELY AWFUL – DO NOT USE

Found this service online, but it’s all a con. My phone was in perfect but used condition, so they quote you one price. Receive the phone and you then get that offer withdrawn and a lower offer issues instead. Or you can wait weeks to get your phone back.

Absolute joke and I would not recommend to anyone EVER. Do not use.

Stick to recycling your phone through your service provider, these are con men!!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

I read a number of reviews before contacting Cashmyfone. I knew that they wouldn't actually offer me the first price once they'd received my phones. But it was the reasoning they gave that infuriated me.
I was offered £20 for each of my phones - I had 2. I sent them off and THEN received a pre paid envelope with instructions (thanks). A week later I'd heard nothing so I sent them a chaser e-mail. They responded the same day to say they'd received the phones. Then again to say that there was a problem and they had to drop the price to £17 each due to 'scratches and dents'.
There were NO scratches or dents on those phones. They were in perfect condition, all they actually needed was a clean.
I responded saying as much and heard nothing. I chased THREE times and still heard nothing. I gave in and asked for my cheque.
I then recieved an e-mail offering me more money - 6p more!! I found this incredibly insulting.
This company have no respect and should be avoided at all costs.

Tried to rip me off

Was offered 15% less than quoted price due to excessive wear and tear which was totally untrue. There wasn't a scratch on the item I sent. Accepted 5% less as it cost me £11 to send so would have lost even more money by sending it elsewhere. Will not use this company again

Only 2/3 of value given

I used this company as had better reviews than others, however they emailed to say the phone had a speaker fault and scratches. None of which were the case before it reached them. I wrapped it in bubble wrap so shouldn't have been caused in transit! They should just offer a lower price in the first place and pay it, rather than offering higher to get you interested then making things up!!

Convenient but a bit dodgy

Cash My Fone are a convenient company to use. However, there was an issue where they reduced their quote for my phone by 15% due to them claiming that it was not as I'd described. The phone was mint condition and worked 100% but I've read that they do this with many orders - probably to cut their costs (or maybe the double bubble-wrapped phone got damaged in the post). However, I have accepted their offer and await payment. I would advise that, if you are selling a phone, you should take their quote with 15% off in case you can get a better deal elsewhere! This was the only let down.

Rubbish. Price quoted for condition of my phone was not what I ended up with. Beware.

I had an iPhone 4S for 18 months. It was not damaged whatsoever and worked perfectly. The website price offered me was £221.50 slightly more than other reputable recycling companies I have used before without a problem. The price quoted was for a working handset with wear and tear. Now considering a phone is used every day and carried on your person or in a bag will end up with surface scratches over the period of ownership. This isn't except able to Cash my Phone. My phone sat in a protective case since I had it from new out of the box. I packaged it well in a bubble wrap packet and wrapped it tissue paper. When it arrived the other end it was miraculously excessively scratched on the rear and on the screen. Obviously this would mean a downgraded price of £190.00 andI only got that through complaining. They wanted to reduce the price by 15%. Obviously I had to except it as I didn't fancy them posting it back to me judging by the poor service already received. If cash my phone want as new condition they should advertise as such.

These are absolute con men the way they run a business is disgraceful!!
First of all they lure you in with a great price, you send in their pre paid envelope which if your phone is worth more than £39 is worthless as it isn't covered, so you will have to pay to get it sent recorded, which gets there a week and a half later, for them to email you back saying the price of the phone has gone down as the front screen has a few scratches.... What do they expect we are selling second hand phones!! so unless you have a brand new phone you wont get what they first offer. You complain and they leave it a few days to respond and tell you like it or lump it, if you phone is worth more than £39 you will have to pay for postage as it isn't covered to come back to you!! AND THEN a few days later after you have emailed them saying just give me whatever, I just want some money, they will tell you we will send you some money! FIANLLY!! WASTE OF SPACE!!!

Unhappy as various issues throughout transaction

I sent my phone to the company for them to tell me they never received it a week later. I sent it via special delivery which is next day. Then once they found it they stated there were problems with it. They reduced the price and I wasn't happy with this but it would have been more hassle for them to return it. They stated 48 hours for payment to reach me and its been over a week and I still haven't had payment.

Dodgy dealers? You decide!

Gave me a quote for my used, but perfectly functioning phone, which I posted off. A couple of days later I received an email sayinfg the phone was broken in half (!) and the offer was now ZERO pounds, and offering to 'recycle' it anyway or send it back.
The 'damage' could have happened in the post I guess, but I remain very dubious!

Best Offer for my phone!

I researched all the other sites on google that offer to purchase old handsets, and the price quoted by yourselves was the best on offer!
Upon you receiving my phone , I received an email stating that it was not quite in the condition that you were expecting, so my offer price was reduced by 20% I was a little disappointed by this, however the revised price is still better than anyone else that was quoting me at the time so I am still happy to take the revised price!!!

Lack of contact, really difficult to speak to someone on the customer service number provided

Upon receipt of my phone Cash My Phone decided to reduce their offer in accordance to their terms and conditions, which may have been fair. However when I attempted to respond to their offer by phone and email it took me 3 days to finally speak to someone on their customer service number which they provided. In addition to this there was no response to my email correspondence. Not happy with the lack of communication.

i think people shouldnt use this company ..i thought they where good instead they where bad, i got such a bad offer for my fone which wasnt worth it was a used1 month old apple i phone 5 16gb i was goven big offer but once they got it no reply to mails such poor customer service, i had to call just to get through!!

i was desperate for money so i wen thru with it..told il get paid yesterday morning but 3 day on since accepting my offer ...NO SIGN OF MONEY YET...

Dissapointing

They took ages to receive my phone even though I posted it to the Freepost address. Receipt was only confirmed after I said I had proof of postage. Amount for my phone was reduced as they said it was in poor condition but I think the amount they reduced it by was too large. The amount I received was about what I had been offered by other companies and in future I'd probably choose a company with a better reputation. I did receive payment very quickly after it was approved. Just seemed what should have been a very easy transaction quite difficult.

Top class company to sell to

I have used this company for a last couple of months to sell my mobiles and they have always offered the top price and if not the top price sometimes, they have offered very good service always.

Finally got paid after two months

The initial service was very good, however when I sent my phones in I then had to wait two months to get paid and it was me that got in contact with them to chase them up. Once I'd been in contact the communication was much better. I would have liked to have been kept in the loop more during the waiting period, I wonder if I hadn't contacted them would I have got paid?

Had three lots of correspondence to say this company hadn't received my handset when I could prove they had signed for it. Once they admitted they had my handset they then reduced the price I had been originally quoted saying it wasnt up to their standards ( my phone was fully functioning and had nothing cosmetically wrong with it). I agreed the price as could not be bothered with any more hassle & I was told I would receive payment in 48hrs it has now been 72 hrs and still no payment and no reply from my emails. I would not use this company again. Very disappointed.

This company is ok for what it is. I had no issues with them. Only thing I would say is that I emailed them but ha no reply however I followed my email up with a phone call. On the call the lad I spoke to was really helpful and answered all my questions with ease.
