Ordered over the phone great service from the sales advisor got exactly what I asked for a fully loaded gameing machine 5star service
I customised my first tower with Ginger6, recommended to me by a friend.

(link to the PC)
Firstly, I chose the upgrade from the Standard AMD CPU Cooler (again recommended by a friend for over-clocking use, etc.). When I received the PC the motherboard was not picking up any peripherals or booting up. It was switching on but the red light wasn't flashing or fan wasn't sounding. This was the first fault, the second - they had sent the tower unit itself in blue. I asked for red. A minor problem but a clearly specified choice, on the invoice, nonetheless.
Hats off to them, they took it back, fixed it and sent it back. They even gave me some (cheap ass) gamer headphones also, which I do not use (because they are just terrible). Great, everything was in working order. No problems for a while.
Second issue resulted when I wanted to install a fire wire card into a free PCI Express slot... oh boy, was this a nightmare... so, in order to not break my warranty, I would have to purchase a card, send the PC back to Ginger6 (paying both for mailing it to them and them mailing it back to me, AND, on top of that, they wanted to charge me labour costs... so to install a fire wire card of £30, I'd be paying £100. £50 delivery and pick up, £20 labour. Absolute nuts... thankfully managed to bargain with them to just pay the delivery costs. Over the moon, but still... £70 to install a fire wire card... honestly...
So, que issue three... got the PC back ... the same problem had occurred with the motherboard. It was not picking up the monitor, the mouse or any other hardware, etc. Immediately got on the phone and arranged a pick up and re-delivery (was no chance in hell I was paying postage this time). Once the PC was in a technicians 'capable' hands he told me the artic cooler I had upgraded to wasn't 'compatible' with the motherboard. Basically what was happening was the cooler was dislodging the motherboard in transit as it was too large. Now, this is fair enough. Only, shouldn't I maybe have been notified of this before even purchasing these components? To save me all the trouble in the very beginning? I guess this piece of information was left out. Somehow.
So... finally, issue four... they replaced the artic cooler with a standard cooler... they put the PC in transit and it was on it's way to me... it even arrived the very next day (a delightful first). Except... it WASN'T my PC. It was addressed to me, but once opened an invoice to someone who lives in Buckingham-Shire (or there abouts) was staring me in the face. I actually, for a second, thought they had given me a brand new PC with a cool new tower case (the case was actually cooler than mine to look at) but the specs were certainly not... 300gb hard drive and 4gb RAM over 2tb hard drive and 8gb RAM? No thanks.
So, I immediately contacted the delivery company, AJG Parcels, hoping my PC might still be in the van (as he had just delivered). They informed me it was the distributing company's fault and that I should take it up with them. Phoned Ginger6, managed to sort out this horrendous mess. PC was picked up and mine was delivered two days after. With a massive hole in the box, I might ad... luckily everything was fine inside... sigh.
This is a hugely summed up version of my ordeal in dealing with this company. The amount of time, stress and money I have invested into this company has not been worth the end product.
I can predict the reply being "we did everything we could" and "we cannot apologise more for any inconvenience" , but this simply isn't good enough. I paid for that computer and more, and not just in money. I shouldn't have had to send it back four-five times or go through any of that malarchy. It's a joke. It really is.
I will state that Leah has been very helpful. Although, she could maybe make it sound like she actually does care about a customer's situation though. Sounding monotone consistently does imply a lack of empathy/sympathy. Especially when someone has been through something like this. Just the impression I got.
Lastly, I asked if there was any reimbursement for all I had been put through. Leah said she would send me out some game vouchers (tomb raider and bioshock, or something). Not the biggest fan of tomb raider, but hey, at least it's something.
It had been a week since I had heard any word so I thought I'd call today to see if I was still getting any vouchers. Was told that vouchers would be available when suppliers send out graphics cards (the vouchers come with them apparently). When would suppliers send you graphic's cards, I ask. Can't say, not for a while most likely though.
After hearing that I just told her not to bother. It was the final straw, hearing that. As minor as it was.
So, now, I am selling my Tower and converting to MAC.
Hope this review has been helpful to you. Not saying you should, or should not, buy from Ginger6.
Just my story.
All the best.
I scouted the web for a while, considered ordering my own parts and found other "we build your PC for you" sites. While this wasn't even in my googling my brother recommended it to me. I dug around and decided that when the Oculus Rift is commercially ready I need a high end PC to help me enjoy it. I bought more than I'd hoped for :D
Boots in 4 seconds, LOVE windows 8 (never thought I'd say that), graphics are insane, haven't yet managed to max out the GPU frame rate; need to buy a more resource hungry game now, and is perfectly balanced with all hardware. System rating was even across the board.
Delivery was prompt. I even asked if could come on a certain day after ordering and they replied immediately. Good courier choice to.
My only complaint is I like looking inside a pc to and the first thing I did was take the side panel off to have a look, not realizing the warranty sticker was on the side :( so by just having a look I've now lost my warranty :( fingers crossed I have no problems in the next 3 years
Other than that brilliant. Get your site bumped up in the search engines.
cheers
When I first found Ginger 6 during my search for a gaming PC I was uncertain whether to trust a small company I'd never heard of before. I read large numbers of reviews and as the majority of them were overwhelmingly positive, decided to give them a go. I was not disappointed. I have had absolutely no issues, either with the construction & delivery time, their customer services when I rang to enquire about speeding up the process, nor with the product itself. You could not find this kind of power for the money without building the unit yourself, I am very pleased and would definitely shop with Ginger 6 again.
Incidentally, the courier service they use has a large number of extremely bad reviews online, but I think this is due to being a franchise operation. My PC was delivered by the Caerphilly depot and while the drivers were obviously in a bit of rush (long day!) it arrived on the expected day with no problems.
I am happy with the computer I bought.
But apparently I had a call saying that I need to pay extra money for another power supply because the one online system suggested to me was not good enough for my graphic card.
I expect the system to change any parts if it does not work with each other when you build your own PC, just like other web-sites do.
That is the only comment from me.
First of all I am really glad there are companies out there like this!
Thank you so much for still having this RAM in stock as my computer is a few years old now and being at such a great price.
Cant recommend enough, fast delivery as well thanks!
Great products and communication. We will be purchasing more equipment in the future.
New hard drive had crack on plastic panel. To return, check, then wait for answer from manufacturer, then receive replaced item, it takes about 2-4 week. This is not acceptable, as i payed money to receive new item ASP. I couldn't wait for so long, so now gave new item without any warranty. Upsetting... Now thinking about new sellers...
Wireless card missing and no video working when received
items in stock confirmed by phone and swiftly handed over at Wolverhampton facility. Product exactly as stated & priced competitively
Soon received and already loaded so no hassle at all. Well easy, and cheap as well.
the options available to build your own specification are very extensive.
the case that i had selected was not available and i was contacted by phone at the first opportunity to be informed and offer a variety of replacement options.
delivery was quick. i would reccommend ginger6 to anyone looking to get a custom PC built and will be back in future myself.
Delivery and order process was faultless, and everything is working as it should so far.
Never heard of this site before until they came up in googles shopping engine, Fast delivery through a courier.
Delivery time was nailed down to an hour and it was spot on.
Product was as described and at a great price.
My next day computer arrived on the day after ordering. It was packed well with all paperwork and dvd's included. It booted perfectly and windows loaded without problems. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending you to friends and family.
Ordered late on Monday, got a phone call on Tuesday regarding a problem. Really friendly and was sorted in 5 minutes. Computer came on the Wednesday. All in all very pleased and would recommend to anyone.
Ordered PC as a custom build, arrived within a week, very tidy and nicely put together, very pleased and would use them again.
Like the majority of companies which I have ordered from these guys were able to get the products I ordered out to me the next working day.
They also go in contact with me straight away when they had a supply problem informing me that they were out of stock and gave me some options.
The mark of good company is in their returns policy. I had a graphics card fail after 3 days of use. These guy's are a nightmare to get a return from - not only did I have to hassle them just to get my returns accepted - unlike ebuyer, amazon etc - who often on a product this new just send out a new one with no questions these guys make you pay for your own postage to send it back then they send it off to some external company for testing which they informed me could take a long time.
Terrible returns policy - the mark of a good company is its returns policy, and these guys are the worst I have ever used.
I'm sorry - but if this card is this new you should be giving me a new one if I don't like the colour of the thing - IF ITS FAULTY I DON'T EXPECT TO BE WAITING WEEKS FOR A NEW ONE.
I would advise anyone to stay well away from these guys.. pay the extra couple of pounds and get it from a proven company.
I chose Ginger 6 purely on price and reviews I had read, thought I would give them a go. Took my order and money fast enough. Delivery was very late even though I paid for expressed delivery. When I rang them they made all sorts of excuses. "It arrived late from suppliers" but was shown as in stock. " It is just after Christmas" a week after ! Special note about delivery service, I asked for it to be delivered after 1 pm arrived befor but I wasn't in ? Ended up at post office for weekend another three days. 3 day delivery turned out to be over a week. Promised a postal refund for delay, Surprise no refund. Staffs attitude was careless , dissmisive and uninterested.
I was after a pc for gaming but my knowledge on pc's is very limited. I asked them for advice. I told them what i wanted it for and my price range and they emailed me back with their recommendation. i bought it and have not regretted it. Also the customer service is very good and they do phone you back when they say they will. I will use this company again
cannot fault Ginger6 from first contact to compleated order i could not have wished for a better service and very competitive price structure would recommend you try them first.
I ordered my new pc, on the Thurday after christmas, and only paid for the cheapest delivery times, as i assumed with it being holiday times, it would take a little longer.
To my delight the pc came on the Saturday only 2 days after ordering.
The computer is excellent, just what I wanted, this was my second purchase from Ginger6, and would recommend to everyone.
Just fantastic, really great advice, did exactly what they said, were understanding to an old IT techy and helped with new tech, service was brilliant and arrived as expected and in great shape - Can't recommend these Guys enough - HAPPY XMAS and more Power to you all ...
Regards and look forward to doing business again !

Gaming Computer for my Son.
Excellent service from start to finish. Ordered on line and was update along the way as to the progress of the order. Despatched within 4 days of order and received the following day. Would recommend and use Ginger6 Computers again.
I paid for expedited service so that I would receive product within 2-3 working days. I received the products a full week later.
I emailed to ask for progress but did not receive a reply.
I asked if I could have my "expedited service" fee back, no reply.
I also emailed to ask if there was anything we could do to make me feel better as I had more gear to order, ie small goodwill discount but I did not get a reply either.
Will never use again as there is a competitive market for this stuff out there and I will vote with my feet and my wallet.
Sorry guys but this is not good enough.
really quick postage
website easy to use
kept very updated on order
great products
Wont be dealing with your company again.
You have lost a sale of a further 5 extension leads.
I was buying a custom built PC and here at Ginger6 it was cheaper than everywhere else and it came with no problems, all setup perfectly.
They answered questions with 48 working hours when I emailed them and my delivery came in 4 workings days even though I paid for the cheapest option. (4-5 working days to build and 1-2 working days to ship!
Great website, great value!
i have bought from ginger so have my friends and we are very happy with the service and goods
This is my second purchase from Ginger6 and I will certainly use them again. They offer great flexibility and make specifying your choices easy. My machine came much quicker than I expected and when I called to query something about my setup, they were very helpful.
Have been buying from Ginger 6 since the days of the socket 7's(When Kevin Wilson seemed to do everything) and have never had any problems with their customer service or delivery speed.Bought a Q6600 mobo and water cooling kit some 5 years ago and its still going strong.Swapped last week to a new mobo and i5 processor with memory and was quite suprised how quick the machine was and how it overclocks so easily at the touch of a button(no more black magic with the bios or voltages)I will always buy from ginger6 if they have the parts because I know there is never any hassle and they will always come up with the best deal/ service for their customers
What a top company cant fault them.
Professional in every way its a beautiful
computer and ginger6 went above and beyond
for me i highly recommend them to anyone
Well I'm local to ginger6 but I had never heard of them before and only found out about them from some website on a google search for custom computers. I then looked for reviews on the company and found a lot of positive reviews. So I went ahead and tried them out as i was in desperate need of a new computer.
The build quality is fantastic compared to the last company I used (pcspecialists). The order was dealt with fast and was with me in 4 working days and it runs like a beast :).
Highly recommend this company to anyone who's looking for a custom computer or anything else computer related.
I was searching for an Asrock Motherboard (880GM-LE FX) which needed to have the old IDE sockets on-board and stumbled across GINGER6 on a Google Search.
In particular I wanted to install a floppy disk drive, but, the motherboard needed to be AMD AM3+ compatible because I wanted to transfer my AMD FX4100 Bulldozer CPU, the Patriot PC3-1333mhz RAM and the standard AMD Heatsink and Fan assembly.
The price was very reasonable, and as I live locally to Wolverhampton, it was possible to collect the motherboard and save on postage.
Their returns policy is also excellent, you have 7 days to make sure all is working as it should, it must be returned in working order and in its original packaging.
The Staff at GINGER6 were impeccable...all were very helpful and went through the spec I needed, on several occasions, to make sure everything was compatible.
I couldn't have asked for better service!!!
The Motherboard....working brilliantly!!!!
the reason I choose to buy from ginger6 is mainly because they are a local company to where I live, I honestly cant fault them, I ordered some computer stuff and collected the next day from their office, nice people. will defo buy from again.
I'm really impressed with my new motherboard, and it was very easy to install. I have other products by this company and I do rely on their quality.
I was looking for a new and silent desktop PC.and came across this on the Ginger6 web site. I'd bought from Ginger6 a few years ago so knew they were reliable. It's really useful to be able to customise a PC during the online ordering process, and as a Linux user I want to be able to buy a PC without an OS pre-installed.
Delivery was well within the estimated 5 working days, and I am delighted with the purchase.
I came to trustpilot to find a pc builder and all reviews pointed to Ginger6. I had intended to buy a system with a GTX 680 graphics card but realising it was a little too powerful for the resolution I played games, I decided to see if the system could come with a gtx 670 instead. On their website, (which is incredibly easy to use) I found several pre built systems that could easily do what I wanted but I decided to configure my own custom PC. There are several base systems (but even these core components can be changed with a phone call) I eventually settled on a system based on the G6 ultra i70 and upgraded by adding /changing components. As the prices are shown it really helps to know you can vastly improve for just a little extra, so I was able to add items that I wasn't certain I could afford but was very happily surprised that I could. The configurator was a huge help in allowing me to add/ remove items and fine tweak my system to exactly how I wanted it. I rang with a small query and was answered promptly, politely and very helpfully by a lady who checked and assured me, my processor request could be done easily. I ordered over the phone there and then and it was past working hours but she didn't ask me to call the next day she carried on. My system arrived so quickly (2 days before I had anticipated) and setup took less than 4 minutes. The components are quality items not the cheapest generic ones and it is barely audible as I sit beside it now. Communication has been fantastic, I even received an email sent in the evening. I rang and changed a few things the next day and they happily obliged. As long as they are in business they have my custom. Besides after quickly totalling my item costs individually I realised I couldn't buy and assemble this system for less than I paid for it AND that wouldn't have the peace of mind that their generous warrant gives me.
