Placed the order and did not look mails as everything went smoothly, the site informed that the payment went through. With the card money written off. A few days later find out that it is necessary to spend their time and prove confusing scanning documents. Terrible service. Refused to buy, went to another store to buy.
I was quite impressed initially with the very quick secure delivery. When my order arrived, I realized I had ordered the wrong frame color so I emailed for a response back immediately. I sent the glasses back the same day and the replacement pair arrived within 2 days. I couldn't have asked for better customer service and a top class product. I will recommend to everybody I know and definitely will purchase from them again.
This is my second time buying at Smart buy glasses. No fuss at all - my sunglasses arrived very quickly and fit really well too

I ordered Persol PO3033V-944 - size 52 on March 27th, 2013. After waiting over three weeks, I reached out to SBG asking where my glasses were. Their site says they aim to respond to emails within 24 hours, which seems to be a boldface lie or a complete failure. A couple more weeks went by until they came back saying they could not get the glasses I ordered. They sent me other suggestions, and I opted for one, same style, but smaller sized lens. I received them soon after and they looked too small. Keep in mind, they advertise a 14 day return/7day exchange policy. I "requested" a return/exchange because they have to respond back with a special code and address. Today is day 3 after my request and time is ticking away and still no actual response with code and address...just an auto-response. Now I am afraid I will be stuck with glasses that do not fit because they FAIL to respond in a timely manner and they FAILED to get me the glasses I originally ordered. The responses I have received have not been rude in content, but I find the lack of attention as a paying customer rude and tacky. I certainly hope my situation gets resolved, but I would not suggest Smart Buy Glasses to anyone. ~ Jess Williams
I had an easy time searching the web site to find the glasses I was interested in. I bought the glasses from the site because they were significatly cheaper there than at a retail store. After receiving the glasses they were too large for me so I contacted customer services and Jason walked me through the process to exchange the glasses for the smaller size.
I have thought the entire process from searching and buying my glasses was super easy. The service team was helfpul and clear. I would recommend the site to a friend!
I reviewed Smartbuyglasses.com prior to attempting to purchase Gucci GG 3555. Upon checking out, Smartbuyglasses.com requested all my person/credit card information and proceeded to check me out. Once the page refreshed it went to a screen that states" Visa Card Verifed Please enter a security pass code. I entered that then their website refreshed and completely changed the prices of the frames in addition to changing my order total.
This is called False Advertising in addition to other things. I print screened all of this and I'm hoping they are not conducting business this way.

J'avais commandé sur le site US et j'ai pensé de commander sur le site Canadien par la suite, donc j'ai demandé qu'on annule ma transaction, en français, ils aurait dû me répondre en dedans de 24hres ce qui n'a pas été le cas. Entretemps j'ai échangé des courriels à plusieurs reprises avec un agent anglophone, il m'a dit que même si je commandais du site canadien, il y aurait vérification de l'adresse. Donc, j'ai fourni un pièce d'identité, ne pensant pas qu'après plus de 48 hres quelqu'un allait me répondre en français. Le tout était réglé et c'est à ce moment que l'agent francophone a décidé de lire le courriel et d'annuler ma commande. Il n'a jamais vérifié les notes ou ne ma jamais demandé si quelque chose avait changé puisque ça fessait plusieurs jours que j'attendais ça confirmation. Il devrait peut-être vérifier leur problème de communication. J'ai du recommander sur Internet... Livraison assez rapide, j'avais pris un item avec shipping rapide. Je vous en fait part et j'en fait part à mon entourage.
I found a pair of frames at a local eye doctor that I was absolutely in love with but they were $210 without lenses. I came to this site and found the same frames for around $120 and $59.99 for lenses. I got both for cheaper than I would pay for just the frames at a local office. I ordered them and was really eager to get them and kept checking the status numerous times a day waiting for it to change and although the lenses took a while to be confirmed, after 2 or 2 1/2 weeks, I received my glasses and I'm absolutely in love with them and wear them all the time. I was a little skeptical about ordering perscription lenses online, but I can see perfect and everything has been great! Great quality, high quality case and free cleaning solution and other things to keep my glasses in tip top shape. So although you would get glasses quicker getting them at a local place, its well worth the wait to pay 1/2 the price. Would definitely order from them again.
I was so skeptical when I was reading reviews for this co. So many good, several bad. But I have to say, this company and my transaction with them rocked?! It took shy of two weeks from start to finish--order process, prescription fill, and shipping. It took less time than the second pair I ordered locally. I got the Raybans Clubmasters with my prescription. They arrived in a couple of weeks and look great. I'm not sure if the prescription was done correctly though because they are my only glasses that give me a headache after some use. Still, I see better with them on, then with them off. I might just get the frames next time and have my prescription done here in the US.
Customer service was responsive so I had no qualms there. Note that you will have to respond to a separate email in order to clear customs. That was fishy, but worked out.
I was really upset that I had to pay over $400 to get new glasses from my doctor. Then I came across this site an saved over half of what I would have spent on designer frames. Shipping was very fast and my glasses fit perfectly.
When I purchased from SmartBuyGlasses, I was expecting them to deliver a great product at great value. The product I received was good; however, the delivery was slow. Turns out the company is based out of Hong Kong, which was deceiving because with ".com" in the domain name, you would expect the company to be based in the U.S. I got calls from FedEx saying that my sunglasses were being held at customs for whatever reason. Anyway, after paying for them and later on receiving my sunglasses, I get a bill from FedEx, stating that I had to pay customs $28.00, which should have been covered when I purchased them. I felt kind of ripped afterward because I could've paid about the same price on sunglass hut's website and receive them A LOT quicker.
As soon as i placed an order i got an email saying my order is being processed after a week they send me an email saying its adiscotinued item so i had to pick another one as soon as i change my order they charged me for the discontinued item then its already been 2 weeks they havent send me the new order then after isend them an email saying that i would like to cancel my order since its taking too long & they charge me for something i didnt get someone reply me saying my order is on the way to theyre company instead of saying they going to give me my refund back i think this company is a ripped off & poor customer service i need my MONEY back i dont need the order .....

I ordered 2 glasses yesterday and wanted to change the frame colors. I emailed them 3 times over the past 24 hrs. They don't have a phone #. No reply yet whatsoever. I have NO idea what is happening. Very bad, non-existent customer support.
I was a bit skeptical of the price - Persols for less than half the retail price? - but decided to take the chance. I'm glad I did. The craftsmanship, the supporting documents, the packaging, convince me that they are genuine. The shipping was free and they arrived in TWO days! Overall, I am very satisfied.
This is my second time purchasing something from this website, the first time my product came in 3 days and in perfect condition. This time i have to wait almos a month because it was held by customs, but the costumer service team was always on touch with me and i was refund with all the charges and tax by the service delivery. Even tho i have to wait a Little more for my order i'm really happy with the service and the communication they offer.
My daughter loves Ray Ban products. She is 7 hrs away in college and we have no budget for leading local retail inflated pricing. She was very skeptical at first. I canceled my order in two hours after I placed it.
I received a letter from SmartBuyGlasses confirming that my order had been canceled and they had sent a refund.
But instead of refunding they confirmed the transaction to my bank and charged my credit card.
So now I have to deal with my bank and lay a claim to a refund.

Their website states "free shipping" in numerous places. Today is two weeks from the time i received my order and in the mail i have received an invoice with a BALANCE DUE that states I am the payor for the shipment of my glasses!!! i have done business with many online merchants and i have NEVER experienced receiving a bill for shipping!!! I should have researched Smartbuyglasses more throughly because i have found quite a few unsatisfied customers. I hope they do the right thing and take care of the Fedex bill and supply the free shipping that they advertise.

This seller is in he habit of accepting your order, charging payment and then making some delaying tactics not to send your order. I currently have an issue about an item I ordered more than a week ago. I placed an order for Rayban eyglasses, they acknowledge and apparently process my order. But after the payment appeared in my bill, they put the status as "wait to be veriied" . According to them thiis is because their system flagged my order to be unauthorized. They asked me to send a scanned copy of my ID which I immediately complied. They acknowledged my documents, but after that I never heard from them inspite of sending them various emails. I finally cancelled my order and requesting to refund of my money but both their customer service or service manager are continuously ignoring all my emails.

I have requested a return merchandise number, since they stated DO NOT RETURN without a number that is give by email. They have ignored my emails to cancel my orders, and keep sending emails that the glasses were sent. I have one pair that I want to return and cancelled the second. THEY DO NOT RESPOND TO ANY OF MY CONCERNS, only get automatic canned emails. They are a scam!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! THEY DO NOT EXIST
No complaints here: got my new Ray-Ban Wayfarers only a few days after ordering. I was also informed of the order every step of the way. Will order with them again, but just enjoying these sunglasses for now!
I ordered glasses from here because the prices for the designer glasses beat the others. The glasses do take a bit to arrive, but I saved $100. The order system lets you know that the item is located, prepared to ship, in shipment, etc...
1. price is great and competitive. the raybans I ordered were the cheapest I could find in store or online. I ordered prescription lenses and they too were extremely competitively priced. a fraction of the price America's best eyeglasses charges and they too are considered well priced. they offer anti glare and the polycarbonate lenses (which are the best quality and needed for people with high scripts) automatically no extra charge. other places rack on additional fees for these qualities. I am pleased with the price of the frames and rx lenses.
2. I received my glasses in about a week and a half including the weekend. I was pleasantly surprised having ordered rx glasses online through a different company and it took almost a month. the other company is great also (39dollarglasses.com) but they don't have the designer frames if that's what you're looking for. and smartbuyglasses.com has more affordable rx lens prices.
3. I had one issue with purchasing/ordering my glasses. upon submitting my credit card info I kept getting an automated response stating order unsuccessful. I tried twice not understanding why and that's when my bank called. apparently the purchase goes through another country and my bank was blocking the suspicious activity. once I had them unflag them the order went through fine. I contacted sbg about this and received prompt replies that were helpful.
4. my glasses were properly packaged, came with a rayban case, and a glass cleaning kit which works great. I love my glasses and am overall pleased with my experience.
p.s. the sbg lens try on feature did not work for me. I tried windows and an apple product and tried downloading different things but it never worked. I was able to try my glasses on at a store that was carrying them for a higher price.
Update: I asked them for my money back on April 2nd. I go an email stating that it would take up to 10 days for the money to return to my paypal account. its April 17...I haven't gotten my money or my glasses. no one has even had the decency to send me an email with updates. I'm out $250 and i'm furious at this fake ass company.
I first ordered a pair of gucci sunglasses in january. After waiting and waiting, I was notified from fedex that the proper paperwork was not done for my package to clear u.s. customs. They told me they had contacted the shipper and nothing was done to correct the situation so they had to send the package back. I contacted smartbuy via email and after a generic email I was finally emailed that a supervisor is looking into the matter. After numerous attempts to get them to correct their mistake, I have finally asked for my money back. It is now almost april and I have been waiting for almost four months. I haven't received my package, they have not refunded the money back to my pay pal account. There has been no real attempt to resolve any issue. I would rather pay $500 and buy a pair of glasses from a real place then mess with these clowns at smartbuy ever again.
Ordered Ray Ban RX5256 with prescribed lenses and completely satisfied with my new glasses.
Processing time was a bit long, but i was informed about every step and delivery itself was quite fast. So, considering also low price, waiting time was worth the result for me.
