Great products and service, but expensive shipping to Norway

I am very satisfied with the products from Whittard. I enjoy tea from Whittard every day. The web shop is user friendly. My order was shipped very quickly, and I received it in Norway a couple of days after I placed my order.

But the super-fast shipping has a price. It is very expensive. I wish Whittard would offer some kind of low-cost shipping. I would give five stars to Whittard, if the shipping cost to Norway were lower.

Great products and efficient service

Hazelnut instant coffee by far my favourite! Always good service when shopping on line especially when items on offer and free delivery service is available for linked spends/offers. Would highly recommend :)

Online ordering is trouble free and easy to navigate the website. Email offers with promotional codes are welcome and allows for good value for money and cheaper than traveling into the city to the only area shop. Delivery is promp and well packaged had no reason to return anything.

Fabulous Hot Chocolate!

Throughly recommend Whittard of Chelsea, they have a gorgeous luxury hot chocolate range with new varieties to try! The fruit and herbal teas are also great. Also have some great offers via email! Have always had promt service and deliveries well packaged. Highly recommend.

Not a problem with service

Would fully recommend Whittards to tea and coffee lovers, though I may be slightly biased as I used to work for them. Would like to have a shop closer to me again as the nearest is over 100 miles from me and I like to see and handle products before I buy. (I am comfy buying products from the online shop that I know, tea, coffee and Hot Choc but not the china)

Love the Teas

When visiting London, I got spoiled by the excellent tea that was available. Once I returned to the U.S. I started ordering my teas online from British companies. The teas from Whittard taste better, and cost about the same as other teas I have tried. They are always shipped quickly and I have never had any problems that were not quickly resolved.

Stop putting tea in your tea!

I have had a relationship with you for about the last 10 years and never saw the change in you coming. You were always there to comfort me when I needed you, if I was ill, through the birth of my kids, when the kids were ill and my wife away with work, I always had you to depend on at the end of a hard day. I knew I could have some dreamtime, relax and unwind in the warmth of your being. You were so precious to me that I always kept enough of you stored in case of hard time. I can't believe that you have changed so much on the inside after all this time of being there for me. I would not of cared if you had changed your appearance, changed your name or even dropped the tea altogether, it was never needed anyway. As I now sit in hospital with my terminally ill wife and three small kids to care for, I can't turn to you in the time of my greatness need. I am in a very dark place and do not need to start an addiction at this time in my life, yet you are forcing me into one. I have had to turn to the darkside, left with a harsh after taste and chemically stimulating bitterness. I must take this last opportunity of trying to get through to you and get you to see the error of your way. You know it makes sense as you would not be asking the question of me otherwise. Give me back my Dreamtime, take away the bitter blackness and leave the dependable you I have loved for so many years. I await your response with baited breath. Yours faithfully, Matthew Dreatime.

Probably the best hot chocolate in the world!

Got three hot chocolates for the price of two - great bargain as you don't need much to make yummy hot choc!
Also ordered peach melba instant tea mix - loverly and again you can make as strong or weak as you like - just need some some hot weather to enjoy over ice ;-)

can you believe I bought my daughter 3 lots of different hot chocolate s for her birthday ! on the night of her birthday we all sat round tasting the rocky road , the caramel and the white chocolate - devine and boy did we all sleep well that night

if you want a great nights sleep try out the fab range of hot chocolates - our kids our spoilt you were lucky if you got hot milk when I was a kid !!

Very helpful and informative staff

Visited the shop in Buchanan Street, Glasgow. The staff were extremely helpful and informative and we left having purchased specialist teas and superb Guatemalan Elephant coffee. A very good shopping experience.

Unique, Friendly & High Quality

I would 100% recommend Whittard of Chelsea. It is a very friendly and comfortable place to shop in - there are always pleasant staff on hand to help out if needed. There is a relaxed atmosphere about their shops and you find it a pleasure to browse the (what seems like) hundreds of varieties of tea, coffee and hot chocolates. With every visit there are new samples to try - both warm and cold drinks and the prices are reasonable too. Its the perfect shop for a small gift for a friend or a unique Christmas present. I will certainly be shopping there again and hope to see more stores around in the near future. Keep up the good work Whittard.

LOVE THE ENGLISH BREAKFAST TEA HERE IN THE USA

What a difference a great tea makes! My husband brought me some English Breakfast Tea home from a business trip to Manchester and I love it so much that I order it on line. No other tea measures up here in Ohio.

Decaff poorly catered for

This was my first visit to Wittards and there was a large variety of coffees and teas to choose from. However, as a non tea drinker and someone for whom caffeine is a sure-fire way to a sleepless night, I was very disappointed to only be offered one type of decaffeinated coffee. There was also no information of the method used to remove the caffeine which influences my choices.

Still, I thought it worth trying in case it was the one for me and bought 250 gms, all nicely packaged by hand by a very pleasant assistant and then came my next shock - the price! Far more than I was expecting.

Eager to see if it was worth the cost, I loaded some beans in the machine and awaited the outcome. Pleasant enough but nothing special to make me want to spend an extra pound or two over supermarket own brands.

I'm sure that those able to drink caffeinated drinks could find something to suit them from the huge array available, but it's not worth the extra cost for the single choice of decaffeinated. It's out there, why not expand the range?

World Class Customer Service.

On a recent business trip to Glasgow I called into your store for some green tea... a knowledgeable and enthusiastic young man helped me, answering my questions on the different types and putting me at ease. There were 2 other salespeople in the store both of whom had a smile and a greeting for me. I went in for £5 worth of tea, and came out having spent £80 which included a superb wooden boxed set. I was also made aware of the coffee and hot chocolate too.
I'd give it 10 out of 10.

Tea keeps me human

Today I discovered some great loose fruit teas, I make these up and save some in the fridge to take with me to the gym. You really need to try them the flavours are amazing. Much better than having tee bags.
Whittards are the only company that sells these products and I would urge you to try the different flavours.

MY CUP WAS CHIPPED ON ARRIVAL WHEN I PHONED , I WAS TOLD IN MUST HAVE HAPPENED IN THE POST AND THERE WAS NOTHING YOU COULD DO - I WAS HOPING YOU MIGHT REPLACE MY CHINA CUP AND SAUCER.

IDEFINATLEY WILL NOT BE PURCHASING ANYTHING FROM YOU AGAIN AND WILL RECOMMEND TO MY FRIENDS THAT THEY DON'T EITHER.

3 weeks to ship? Not so fast!

While I completely ADORE Whittard teas, I am a little bit put off by my latest order. I usually order enough tea to last me six months, and wait until I have about one month left before I re-order. This time, I placed my order on Whittard's website on 31 July. It took THREE weeks to ship - not to receive it, mind you, to ship! It wasn't until I emailed the company, having not received my order within the customary two weeks, that they began investigating my order. Apparently, my order didn't get processed, causing the delay. To Whittard's credit, they did ship my tea with "overnight" service (from the British Isles to the U.S., nothing is truly overnight). But, it shouldn't have taken 3.5 weeks to receive an order which usually arrives within 1.5 weeks.

One stop shop for tea

Whittard's has a truly excelent selection of teas, both bagged and loose-leaf and it's really good that so much of it is available online as I rarely have the chance to get to a shop.

The tea-related products are on the whole good but are a little more variable. However for basics like a teapot, infuser etc it can't be faulted.

My one complaint... running out of loose-leaf spiced Chai, but that hardly counts.

I am really pleased with my Whittards purchases. The rolled jasmine smells and tastes just lIke the tea bought home from China. The Earl Grey is delicate and fragrant. The English Breakfast was ok. To be honest I've had better. It was a bit bitter and grey looking. Wouldn't buy this one again, but will do with the others.

Wicked white hot Chocolate - quite awesome.

Routinely purchase white hot chocolate as its simply the best! What more to say - love it.

Also, my favourite green tea with jasmine - no-one does it better.

Cornwall is a bit short of stores - but we make do with Truro. Very compact but most informative and helpful staff.

Delicious herbal teas!

I went into the Truro shop to buy some herbal tea and left with a selection of three - peppermint, dreamtime and rooibos with strawberry and vanilla. I shared all three with my sister and we loved them all!

The coffee and tea I've bought from Whittard are much more flavoursome than any I can buy in the local supermarket. The service is fast and efficient, and I don't even need to leave the house!

A good habit acquired for a change!

I love the fruit tea. I can't think of anything I don't like about Whittards. They're easy to deal with and delivery is quick. And, most importantly, I don't run out of my tea!

Excellent - 'not ordinary' coffee but brilliant for the ordinary occassion

Seems a little decadent to have such good coffee for everyday drinking but as Whittards make it so easy to buy and deliver so quickly AND give special offers from time to time it would be very rude not to use it everyday!!

Coffee to keep me going

Went a bit ott when ordering but it was well worth it. The coffee is great as an early morning kick or as a mid morning break. There are loads of different ones to choose from, whether it's just a normal coffee or a flavoured coffee Whittards have it all. Thanks.

Easy ordering, speedy delivery.

My mother wanted a new "one pot" teapot/cup with a "thin-lipped" cup,and, although I was dubious about buying "fine bone china" on the internet I took the plunge. As I spent over £30 (even with a 10% discount) I qualified for free delivery. I placed the order at 5pm on the 13th September and received it on the 18th September.

I am very pleased with the item I ordered and very pleased with the speedy delivery, I would certainly recommend this company and would not hesitate to use them again.

Bags of coffee

We have a bean to cup machine so I like to select a variety of beans and blend my own mixture. We live in a small flat so storage space is at a premium. I can't keep reserves of beans, so I rely on being able to get what I want when I want it. Our local Whittards in Worcester suit my needs because they carry enough variety that if one of my favourites is temporarily out of stock I can usually find an appropriate substitute.

Great range, even in their outlet store!

I regularly visit the Whittard outlet store in Swindon, which always has a great range, both of coffee, tea and other drinks (as you'd expect) but also a good selection of tableware - if you're looking to kit out your home with some new crockery take a look at Whittard's range first.
