"DO NOT BUY FROM DASCHEAP.COM!!!
I want to make that abundantly clear. I made the same mistake several other people did who read the ratings for dascheap.com. Sure there were some really bad reviews on there, but overall the score was high so they must be ok. Right? WRONG.
I think the one thing that gets overlooked and I realize I tend to do this as well, is that even though we see cautionary tale reviews saying don't shop here, we figure it was a fluke and can't happen to me. The sign of a good, honest and reputable company is how they handle mistakes. That is the very definition of customer service. Companies don't deserve a gold star across the board for taking someone's money, putting something in a box, and the box arriving to the customer. That should be the expectation!
I will try to summarize my saga with dascheap.com as succintly as possible.
I placed an order for a Playstation 3 Dualshock 3 controller in "Ceramic White". For those not in the know, Ceramic White (the real ones, not counterfeit) are manufactured in Japan and have a different hue than the standard U.S. "classic white" controller.
Dascheap on their website advertised as in stock a "ceramic white" PS3 Dualshock 3 controller. It was listed as ceramic white in their written/text item description, they advertised the standard price of the controller as over $70 dollars (which anyone who knows anything about PS3 controllers knows would not apply to a standard PS3 controllers you can easily find them for $40, full retail is like $50) and lastly and I feel the most damning for dascheap is the item picture they used is of the Japanese ceramic white controller which they conveniently allowed you to zoom in on and see in perfect clarity. 3 major ways to see that this was in fact the japanese real deal ceramic white controller.
This was my first order with dascheap.com and I was leery having read some very negative reviews, but as I mentioned above I wrongly concluded that their rating was good enough so I placed an order anyway.
I receive the package and I find they had sent me a standard U.S. "classic white" controller. I immediately e-mail their "customer service" to explain the entire situation including screenshots of my initial order from their website showing that my order was in fact for a ceramic white controller.

Hey Jeremy,
We do not allow the return of merchandise that was purchased using the "make an offer" system. That being said, we understand your confusion, you have no way of knowing what the UPC code associated with the controller is and we have issued you a return authorization. The controller is the correct item to the item name and UPC code, nowhere does the product description or name say it is a Japanese Controller, the picture is simply an older picture provided by the distributor.
We would like to earn your business, so if you would like to keep the controller, we would like to give you a coupon for $6.88 (the price of shipping.)
If you want to return the controller here's what you need to do:
1) Please log into your Das Cheap! Account and go to Order History.
2) Click on your order number.
3) Click on the "Return Slip" red letters to download the return authorization form, fill it out and ship back the products following the instructions.
Please note, it may take some time before your return is processed. Processing of returns only happens once a week at the end of the week on Friday.
Regards,
Aaron C.

This is where it derails. First off as you can see they are telling me it is my mistake and do not address the 3 clear ways their website described the item in detail, instead they make it sound like oops you dummy you looked at the picture and why would the picture match the item?
Then in their amazing generosity they "let me keep" the wrong item and give me not quite $7 discount on a "future order". Wow! Dascheap really owns their false advertising.
I immediately responded to the above email with this:
Actually if you read my initial email you will see where I point out the the written detail on the item on product details shows the item as "ceramic white" which is a completely separate product altogether.
There was zero confusion on my end as I went by several criteria on your website as follows:
1) clear picture (with zoom in feature) of a ceramic white japanese dualshock controller in legitimate packaging
2) written product description detailing your item as being ceramic white not classic white
3) the "actual" price your item description suggests the controller sells for as being $70+ which a standard classic white controller would never go for in the first place.
--make an offer has nothing whatsoever to do with how your company advertises a product so irrelevant in this context
To keep my business I would recommend rather than passing the buck and inferring that this has something to do with how I placed the order, that you instead admit to sending me a very obviously wrong item per what you advertise and rectify your mistake.
The negative feedback directed toward Das Cheap online all seems to revolve around poor customer service ie not being accountable for mistakes made by your company and solving the problem.
I took a chance on you guys because you had what I deemed to be enough positive feedback to offset some very negative reviews coupled with a very clear item description.
Bottom line you guys did not send me what I paid for that you advertised. Is $50 really worth that much to your company?
Please take a closer look at the order. A $7 shipping coupon is simply insulting.

The reason why I am giving them 1 star and telling every single one of you to avoid doing business with dascheap.com is that they NEVER replied to my follow up email. I sent it to them every single day for a week. I left a phone voice mail and I utilized their send a message on their website. I even sent an email to them ATTN: MANAGER and nothing. Not one follow up response until late in the week good ol' Aaron C. left a voice mail on my home phone not addressing anything, simply saying hey there Jeremy just wanted to let you know you can RMA the item. That was it. Didn't address anything.
Bottom line dascheap.com is unreliable, they are cheap, they are dishonest, they have zero customer service, and you should avoid at all costs. Do not do business with dascheap.com.
I ended up keeping the controller by the way, because I honestly did not trust them to RMA the controller and return our money. That is such a sad statement to make, but I literally felt that if I sent the controller back to them if I was lucky enough to get my money back it wouldn't be for a very long time. Not worth it, so I kept the wrong item they sent me.
Avoid Dascheap.com like the plague. They are a terrible company.
