I ordered a pair of trousers on Monday 6 February, checking that the item was "in stock". On Thursday 9 February I received an e-mail to say that my order had been cancelled as there was no stock available. I contacted customer services to be told that stock levels are only checked every 24 hours. I paid by credit card and the money was taken from my account on 6 February, not returned until 10 February. Needless to say I will not be using the Debenhams online service in the future.
