Order accepted, money taken, but no food after over an hour, tried phoning the takeaway, no answer, so I spoke to just-eat online chat who told me the takeaway were closed even though the website still said they were open. Wouldn't let me place another order with the money they had already taken. Why not let me spend my money that you have already taken?
I'd used just-eat many times before this without a problem, I was happy to accept it was a mistake and just reorder from another takeaway, but they wouldn't let me unless I paid again and then waited for the original refund.
It's when things go wrong that you really find out how good a company are, and unfortunately they failed miserably, so it's the last time I order with them as I have no confidence in them sorting things out if they go wrong.

I'm sorry to hear that your order was cancelled because the restaurant was closed, unfortunately this can happen from time to time if the restaurant hasn't informed us of any changes to opening times.
Whenever you use your card you bank places a reserve in the funds that it has authorised, if an order is rejected or cancelled all we are able to do is cancel the transaction. This is why you are unable to reuse the funds, depending on the individual bank it can take up to 7 working days for the funds to be returned to your available balance.
